The Face Behind The Flowers

My name is Laura and I'm the owner and creator of Ellen Rose Florist. I’m the passionate florist bringing your floral dreams to life.

What inspired me to start this business?

I have been a fully qualified florist for over 20 years and have spent my career working for various well known florists in Dereham, Norwich and Watton. After circumstances changed at the last florist I worked in, I felt lost not doing what I've done for most of my life so if that wasn't a sign to go it alone finally then I don't know what was. "Once a florist always a florist" as the saying goes!

Why I became a florist?

For me, flowers are more than just decorations, they’re a way to tell stories, celebrate love and brighten lives. Being a florist isn’t just about arranging flowers, it's about connecting with people on a deeply emotional level. Being the person who helps bring these feelings to life is an honour that I cherish everyday and the reason I still continue to do what I love.

As a florist, I find my passion blooming with every season. Each change in weather and brings unique flowers, colours and scents that inspire my creations. Spring I'd have to say is my favourite season as nature awakens, blossoms burst into colour and the air is filled with fresh possibilities. My most favourite flowers are peonies, with their lush, romantic blooms and tulips, with their vibrant simplicity.

Being a florist is more than a profession, it’s a calling to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. Weddings are my favourite part of being a florist, I love working with some amazing couples to bring their wedding dreams to life. There’s something magical about using flowers to tell their love story, from their first consultation with me to the moment the bouquet is placed in the bride’s hands.

Whether you’re looking for a stunning centrepiece, a dreamy bridal bouquet or just a way to brighten someone’s day, I’m here to help you find the perfect floral touch. Let me help you celebrate life, love and everything in between - one flower at a time.
